A lot of us are actively working towards a productive, lively, fulfilling life. The real challenge is that every long-term goal is in perpetual conflict with a short-term one.
The version of you that wants to sleep in versus the one that swore they'd journal every morning. It’s not easy keeping all the plates spinning at once: sleep, movement, food, self care, connection, it takes genuine skill. It’s not a system you set up once and walk away from. It's a negotiation you return to, every… single… day.
The goal isn't perfection across the board, it's knowing which one matters the most right now. Some seasons you're nailing the social scene but personal goals get put on the back burner. Some weeks the walk happens but the sleep doesn't. At the end of the day, we can either pretend to know what we’re doing or we can just know what we’re doing.
Either way, it’s all just a very sophisticated LARP that we’re here participating in called life on earth. Or its a simulation, or its all a dream, or it’s a test, or its an extremely advanced open world video game and we aren’t even aware of the headset we’re wearing. Whatever the case may be, go out there and have fun. Make the most of it, because it’s the one and only time you’re here now, and we’re glad you are.
